Berths 20-24 Gate Improvements
Oakland, California

DCI/CIC has recently completed a $10,000,000 project located at the Port of Oakland. This pro-ject consisted of the construction of new entry and exit gates and relocation and construction of existing utilities. These gate facilities incorporate state-of-the-art safety and security measures associated with terminal access. Construction also included: staff parking, modular operations building, communications, and power infrastructure between the gates and operations building. Due to the requirements of the terminal operator, this project was on a fast track and the dura-tion was 4 months from start to finish.

The entry gate facility includes two security stations, utilities, Transportation Worker Identifica-tion Credential Card and Radio Frequency Identification readers, nine entry lanes including six platform scales with camera bridges, intercom pedestals, canopies, and entry queuing lanes as well as a new traffic signal controlled entry gate.
